The Golden Balls player of the month award for the month of September 2005 goes to first XI striker Luke Oliver. Young Luke started off as sub for the second XI, coming on and scoring a goal. The next week he started for the seconds and again scored. The week after he joined up with the first XI and netted again. Then the following week he again netted for the first XI before going off injured after twenty minutes. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Luke and keep up the excellent work.
The winner of the Alabama Moose of the Month award for the month of September 2005 was a difficult decision. There were some strong contenders. It isn't Simon Hardle, who not only agreed to get married, but also left his broken down car at the club for five days without telling anyone so eventually the police came knocking at his door to tell him it had been abandoned. Nor is it Ken Southern who microwaved his wet programme. This months award goes to the fourth XI for their collective ability to avoid the back of the net.

The Jack Attack manager of the month award for the month of September 2005 goes to second XI manager Martyn Morgan. With the assistance of his able deputy Gary Dimmack, Martyn has had to completely rebuild the second XI and has done such a good job, despite having to chop and change every week, that they have picked two fine victories in the four matches played so far. Let's hope this improvement can continue further. Well done Martyn and Gary.
