The second XI travelled to close rivals Sutton United for a quarter final Bill Hill Cup clash.
The opening fifteen minutes saw Wulfs start brightly and they could have taken the lead but failed to convert two good chances.
It was Sutton who made the breakthrough when they scored against the run of play, a left foot drive from twenty-two yards flying into the net.
This was a killer for Wulfs and it signalled a period of total domination for the home side. The same player who scored the first goal added two more before half time to complete a fine hat trick.
Wulfs emerged for the second half determined to find a way back into the game but fell further behind five minutes in when the same player added his fourth of the game.
This finished the contest off completely and the game became a stroll in the park for Sutton.
Goal number five came from the penalty spot and number six came from a free header.
The seventh summed up the day for Wulfs, going in direct from a corner with a bit of a helping hand from their keeper Tristan Stephens.
Sutton thoroughly deserved their victory and we can only hope that lessons have been learned for when we go back there for the semi final Junior Cup tie in three weeks time.
Final score: Sutton United 'B' 7 Old Wulfrunians 0.
