The fourth XI travelled to Cresconians buoyed by the knowledge that they were rubbish when they faced them earlier in the season.
Things started well for Wulfs when Cresconians were reduced to ten men in the first ten minutes. After already being warned by the referee to curb his language and narrowly escaping a booking, the brainless foolio decided to shout, "Suck My Dick" as loud as he could across the pitch. This was followed by a swift red card and an early bath.
Wulfs however then took their foot off the gas and failed to press home the advantage of the extra man. In terms of body weight, Wulfs in effect had three extra men - but this too failed to show anywhere other than the waistlines.
The teams went in with no score from either side at half time and Wulfs were told in no uncertain terms by Sheena 'Shitty Pants' Marsh to buck up their ideas. They did indeed come out in the second half with ideas bucked up and scored within fifteen minutes. Sam Cole did brilliantly down the right and centred to Skelly Thompson who finished left footed into the roof of the net.
This was the breakthrough Wulfs had been waiting for and all they needed to do now was keep it tight and press for another. This didn't happen and Cresconians were level within thirty seconds. Slack marking let them cut through the Wulfs defence like butter and slot home an easy equaliser.
Wulfs were determined not to come away with only a draw and an attacking substitution saw Stef Kapcia come into the line up on the left of a three pronged strike-force.
Wulfs pressed and pressed but saw chance after chance fail to find the net with Andrew Skedgel coming closest when a shot was cleared off the line.
Wulfs finally got the breakthrough they had been waiting for ten minutes from the end. A corner was headed clear and fell perfectly for Sam Cole 40 yards from goal. He took a touch and the ball sat up beautifully for a right foot, dipping shot over the keeper. Great strike!
Wulfs then continued to dominate and nearly went 3-1 ahead through Nick Ling with a couple of Frank Lambardesc strikes from distance.
Wulfs thought they had won it only for victory to be cruelly snatched away in the final seconds. An unfortunate error from the otherwise solid if not a little eccentric Chris Nicholls, lead to an easy equaliser for Cresconians. Final score: Cresconians 2 Old Wulfrunians 2.
