Old Wulfrunians v Bio Care

After last weeks heavy defeat to Unity Stars, the fifth XI were hoping to keep a more realistic look to the score line when they entertained Bio Care.

With Rob Clifford-Hill returning from injury to the Wulfs goal, things were sure to get better.

Wulfs started the game with the tried and hated formation of 3-5-2.  Not only can we not play this formation but we have trouble with our wingbacks tracking back, this down to their fitness levels.

Despite Ian "Wrighty" Phillips and the impressive Rich Lovegrove starting from the bench, Wulfs began the game quite brightly, but when you create chances you have to finish them.  Bio Care showed how it should be done and took the lead on twenty-five minutes.  This proved to be the only goal of the first half.

Despite being one-nil down, Wulfs didn't look too bad, but in a short space of time Wulfs found themselves five-nil down, four goals from Bio Care which completely blitzed the whole of the Wulfs fifth XI in the first ten minutes of the second half.

This how the game finished.  The score line could have been much worse had Bio Care's finishing been more clinical.

Moan of the match: 3-5-2 once again, we can't play it!!!!

Look-a-like of the match: the Bio Care no. 9 - what was the beanie hat all about?  Was he cold or something?

Taxi of the match: once again Chris Nicholls gets the nod.  If you can't clear the ball first time, try, try, try and try again. (Chris Nicholls clearing the ball after falling over it three times, at least it gave his team mates a laugh).

Final score: Old Wulfrunians 0  Bio Care 5.
