After Wednesdays loss to GNG Smethwick the fifth XI were looking to get three valuable points from champions elect Unity Stars.
Despite the opposition turning up an hour late for the fixture because they didn't know their way from Great Barr to Wolverhampton, because they can't read an A to Z . It's a shame their football wasn't as bad.
When the game finally started, Wulfs defended well for at least five minutes before the goals began to rain in.
For the first time this season CJ went for a complete tactical change with Wulfs playing four, five, one and trying to stop the opposition. It had no effect on a side who have beaten all comers this season.
On the day the fifth XI were beaten by a side worthy of much higher division status.
Despite losing by an eight goal margin and only playing seventy minutes, there were some good performances on the day from Wilf Guest, Rich Lovegrove and Danny Cheal.
Ref watch:- The referee handled the game well and was not intimidated by the Unity brothers.
Moan of the match:- Danny has gone from a 50 pence head to a spanner foot. With a little bit more shooting precision he could be a twenty own goal per season defender.
Taxi of the match:- Nabber's mysterious injury as a substitute when he refused to take the field when Wulfs need him most.
Final score: Old Wulfrunians 0 Unity Stars 8.
