Sangha suffers nightmare scenario
Third XI goalkeeper Darren Sangha suffered what is probably the greatest indignity a footballer can suffer from, the imaginary broken leg.
The incident happened in the 83rd minute of their game away at Shirley Athletic when a long ball played over the top for the Shirley forward to run on to meant Sangha had to go in for a 75 - 25 challenge in which he came off worst with what appeared to be a broken leg.
An ambulance was called, photographs were taken, Sangha enjoyed a relaxing cigarette whilst covered in coats, but when the ambulance arrived the diagnosis was just a couple of stud marks down the leg and a bit of swelling.
The ambulance man informed all that he would be okay but captain Phil Gardner insisted that he had to go to hospital because the shame of calling an ambulance and not using it was too much to take.
After a short stay in the hospital Sangha spent hours back at the club telling everyone he had suffered a 'distressed tibia and fibula'.
Great work Sangha and we hope to see you back between the posts next week.
