Tipton hopeful of dream signing
Having spent the last few weeks scouring all four corners of Europe to find players capable of improving his squad, First XI manager Pete Tipton finally looks to have secured the services of a player who will take his team to a new level.
Tipton is famed for his love of flair football and is believed to be lining up a move to bring mercurial third XI star Gareth Lawton to his rightful place.
It is thought that the temptation of linking the player known as 'The Wand' with current first XI footballing magician Simon Hardle has finally become too great for Tipton to overlook.
The signing on fee is thought to be in the region of three pork pies, two pints of lager and a twenty pack of Benson & Hedges cigarettes.
